Topology and Physics

It is a well-known fact that the naive extrapolation of field theoretic description of General Relativity to arbitrary high energies leads to a break down of geometry in ultra-violate. It is extremely tempting to take another step and get around this problem by constructing a UV completion based on topological objects.
In this sense it is a possible resolution of issues such as singularity and ...
Nonetheless, a conformal world seems too boring to be real!!!
Do we actually have an example of a real conformal theory in nature?

Today's colloquium on Topological Quantum Computing made me think. Could IR physics be conformal as well?!!! Can we actually find an example of a real conformal theory in nature at IR?
