Those who think freely!

My stay in Canada is reaching the end of its second year. I believe that now, I can bravely say that the phase of a new cultural experience and hasty judgments has passed long ago. It is almost the time that my system of socio-cultural, political and philosophical beliefs and standpoints, that have been refined gradually under the influence of the society I am living in, is reflecting on my everyday life.

In spite of the high walls I had built around myself as a means of protection against cultural harms, the messages finally made it through, reviving my social responsibility of "Being Influential As Much As I Can". Many years ago, the pain of watching this senseless drama of a society of intolerance, inequality, prejudice and ignorance became so unbearable that I chose to close my eyes. Surprisingly enough, I have decided to open them once again.

Here, I feel safe.
I have gained the right to be politically correct!!!
In my new home, I can think freely!
